circular, the front applied with the gold cypher of Emperor Alexander I, founder of the Lyceum, on red transparent enamel over a sunburst ground with the date 1811 in gold, the reverse with the Lyceum's initials and motto in green champlevé enamel, engraved with the date and, in Cyrillic, LXXVII Course and Baron A.R. Engelgardt, struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard
